This was my 1st Velvet Taco experience. So I got something I thought would be good and interesting. The Elote guac is UNEQUALED. I'm never making guac the same way again. But what sets them apart was something I didn't even see. I had placed my order, and there were other customers ahead of me. Apparently my order and the people before me were ready at the same time, but the other people picked up my order accidentally. They returned it to the counter, but the staff told me "They accidentally picked up your order, so we're gonna make a fresh one for you."...just because they touched it. I would never have known if they didn't say anything, and to me, that speaks VOLUMES about the character of this business. The food was exceptional, but it's their character that earned my return business. Integrity is doing what's right, even when you know no one is watching. They are a textbook definition, and I am grateful.
Nice little taco joint. Stopped here on a business trip for a quick bite before I hit the road home. Great selection of tacos and even better service. Definitely order sides if you are pretty hungry, for the tacos are pretty average in size, but dang, they are delicious. I would highly recommend hitting this joint and enjoying the amazing tacos they have here.

I highly recommend Velvet Taco in North Oklahoma City. The atmosphere was great and the staff were awesome. They were a lot of fun and had great customer service and recommendations. The food was amazing! I had the Waffle Tacos and they were amazing! My husband had a Cheeseburger Taco and Burria Taco and he said they were both delicious! We ended up going with the combo option that gave us two tacos, a side, and a drink for 14.50. It was worth it!
Food, margaritas and people are awesome! My first time there and I will definitely go back! Like their late hours too! The guy that waited on me was so helpful! He called me mama and he treated me well like a mama should be treated!

If you’re looking for a traditional taco, this is not your place. I went last week for their soft opening and I couldn’t tell that they were just testing because service was excellent as if they been open for years. It’s a fun atmosphere, and they have tacos inspired by all countries I’ve met with one of the managers. ( Shannon) , who was a rockstar as well as the rest of the team.
First time trying Velvet Taco and let me tell you I was very impressed. I stopped in because it had been recommended by my son who is a local chef/owner of Gourmet All Day. I wasn’t sure what to order and Zach recommended the Spicy Tikka Chicken and the Kobe Smash Burger tacos. They were absolutely delicious, very flavorful and he even let me try a piece of Red Velvet Cake. It was very moist and the serving was enough for 2 people to share. I used to own Red Velvet Bakery and that was my specialty cake so I highly recommend their cake. Zach was the best! I will be back, I want to try everything on the menu! Try it out, you won’t be disappointed and I enjoyed the music, had a great experience there!
